Evan Kennedy, DNP, RN

Evan holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree in Nursing Administration with a focus in education. Evan began her career in healthcare at the young age of 17 as a medical assistant in a physician’s office before moving into the hospital setting where she worked as a nursing assistant. During her time as a nursing assistant, Evan gained experience across many nursing fields, to include medical-surgical, psychiatric care, and post-partum care. After graduating with her Bachelor’s degree from Spring Hill College, Evan began working in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). While Evan’s primary specialty has been critical care nursing, she has also worked as an RN in the medical-surgical field and Progressive Care Unit (PCU). Evan received her Master’s degree in Nursing Education and began teaching in the clinical setting before moving into the academic realm. Evan has experience teaching in both the clinical and classroom settings as well as online in the following content areas: Pathophysiology, Pharmacology, Fundamentals of Nursing, Nursing Assessment, Nursing Medication Mathematics, Medical-Surgical Nursing, and Critical Care Nursing. Evan’s passion for nursing and education are evident in her experience as well as her desire to help others gain knowledge within the field of nursing, striving to make the most positive and greatest impact to both nursing students and nursing professionals as well as patients.
